Today, Sunday 11th November the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier in an historic act of reconciliation laid a wreath at the Cenotaph. Here at Brookwood among German casualties of WW2 a short service of Remembrance was held with wreaths laid also by a representative of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the American Battle Monuments Commission.
