Owen Burns

It was a privilege to meet the only person present at the service who was a combatant during the Battle of Britain. Here at the age of 94 and accompanied by one of his six daughters.

Flight Lieutenant Owen Burns - nickname OV; was a 24 year old Sergeant gunner operating in Bristol Blenheim fighter bomber's with 235 Squadron. F/L Burns operated with coastal command and was attached to Fighter Command for operations in the Battle of Britain.
