Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral Nov'05

From High Street looking at the door towards the se transept and nave, above is the Central Tower of Portland stone with the only one of four clock faces to survive and above this the wooden cupola of 1703 surmounted by the lantern and then Golden Barque weather vane. The Central Tower was rebuilt 1691-3 to a brief agreed by Charles II restituting destruction caused in the Civil War.
