There are 53 German graves maintained by the CWGC on behalf of its sister organisation
the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge. (The plot originally was for both German & Italian POWs.)

In two plots are here 46 WW2 German servicemen and also 7 WW1 German servicemen buried alongside Great War Commonwealth soldiers a short distance away.         
The WW2 servicemen are mainly air force personnel shot down over the UK.

Eventually over 400,000 Germans were processed as Prisoners of War in the UK.

German Remembrance Service 2018 and 2019.

Germany held a reduced service in 2020.
